History

SANFIC, Santiago International Film Festival, is a cinematographic, cultural, artistic, industrial and educational platform, organized by CorpArtes Foundation and produced by Storyboard Media.

Through its 14 versions, SANFIC – created in 2005 – has sought to offer the best of national and international film industry to all Chileans. Considered one of the most important film competitions in Latin America, SANFIC responds to the objective of CorpArtes Foundation to raise awareness and increase access to quality culture and art. Thus, one of its largest objectives has been to attract not only specialized critics, but a diversity of spectators, who if not for this festival, may never have the access to films of such great artistic quality.

Throughout its 13 years of existence, SANFIC has been transformed into a reference for the international film industry, a window for creators and Chilean directors, as well as an opportunity for their connections with prestigious representatives of the worldwide circuit. In each edition of SANFIC directors, producers, distributors, critics, actors and general public encounter the most recent and outstanding national and international productions, providing Santiago and the country with a unique opportunity of quality and up-to-date convergence.
