In a shantytown of Santiago Alicia Vega carried out a movie workshop for kids during
20 Saturdays. The kids, who never went to the movies and barely know the city’s
downtown, live an unforgettable experience at the workshop, where they build the
elements as the kinetoscope and the taumatrope. They also learn the “traveling” with
a cart and they made a movie by drawing paper stills. Trough the workshop the reality
of those kids is shown, who despite their poverty situation they are able of living with
happiness. |

Charles Bronson appeared in my 16 inches, black and white Westinghouse, as the
Chilean most similar to Charles Bronson. The Chilean Charles Bronson represents the
drama of a country which no longer meets with its own abilities and desires and that,
tired of looking for an identity that allows living happily, prefers to borrow another,
one that is already made. Deep down, all of us are the Chilean Charles Bronson. |
